This adaptor is required to replace factory fitted radio with an aftermarket headunit (Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, JVC etc.). It will convert the car original power and speakers wiring connector to a standard ISO connector. Simply plug one end of the adaptor into your cars wiring harness, and the other end into your new radio, without the need of tools or cutting of wires.

Connect the head unit to the original radio connector without the need to cut any of the existing wiring.

When connected your new stereo may not power up, and this is no fault of the wiring harness purchased.
Audi / VW / Skoda / Fiat and other vehicles tend not to have an ignition switched live feed.
In these cases it is necessary to manually connect a spurred live feed from fuse box for example to feed switched power so the new stereo turns on and off with the key.
The wire in particular on the new wiring harness will be the red wire.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ADAPTER SUITS FULLY AMPLIFIED AUDI WITH ISO CONNECTIONS AS IN PHOTO. MOST AUDI DO NOT HAVE IGNITION LIVE WIRE ON ORIGINAL PLUG SO STEREO MAY NOT POWER UP WHEN CONNECTED. THIS WILL NEED TO BE MANUALLY WIRED IN BY INSTALLER. THERE IS A BLUE WIRE ON ADAPTER WHICH REQUIRES CONNECTION TO REMOTE WIRE ON NEW STEREO NORMALLY BLUE ALSO OR BLUE WITH WHITE STRIPE. THIS WILL POWER ON THE FACTORY AMPLIFIER AND GIVE SOUND TO FRONT AND REAR SPEAKERS.
