Upgrade your BMW 1 Series facelift model with a modern 9-inch touchscreen multimedia receiver whilst retaining factory steering wheel controls, parking sensor tones and a clean OEM-style dashboard appearance. Designed specifically for BMW E81, E82, E87 and E88 models from 2007 to 2013 equipped with manual climate controls and factory parking sensors, this complete fitting kit provides everything required for a professional stereo installation.

Originally developed for the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, this fitting kit is also compatible with selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos that utilise the same mounting platform, including the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, Alpine INE-AX809 and Kenwood DMX80AXS.

The supplied CAN-Bus steering wheel control interface allows compatible aftermarket stereos to retain factory steering wheel audio controls whilst maintaining important vehicle integration functions. The included PDC retention module preserves factory parking sensor warning tones, ensuring convenience and safety features remain fully operational after the stereo upgrade. A Fakra aerial adapter maintains radio reception whilst the vehicle-specific fascia panel delivers a seamless factory-style dashboard finish.

Manual Air Con 9" Fascia Adapter

Designed specifically for BMW 1 Series (E81/E82/E87/E88) 2007–2013 models with original manual climate controls, this fascia is designed for installation of the Pioneer 9” stereo. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.

Steering Wheel Control Interface

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for various BMW and Mini cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source and phone buttons. The CANbus interface will also provide CANbus key present ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs. A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.

Some BMW cars go into Eco mode and the +12V supply to the radio drops causing the memory of the new radio to be lost, these cars will need a power supply directly from the battery to be supplied.

Fakra to DIN Antenna Adapter Cable

Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a fakra antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.

Parking Sensor Retention Interface

CANbus interface to retain the original parking distance control (PDC) tones and other vehicle warning chimes that are lost when replacing the radio in various BMW, Citroen, Peugeot, Volvo and Ford cars. The original parking tones and warning chimes in many cars are produced by the original radio and when an aftermarket radio is fitted these tones are lost.

This CANbus interface reads the data in the car and reproduces the parking tones and warning chimes through an additional speaker. The interface has a universal adapter cable, this needs to be hardwired to the power, ground and CANbus wires in the car. Fitting instructions are included.

Universal Patch Lead

This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

Important Fascia: 

• This fascia is designed to fit only Kenwood and Pioneer Perfect Fit 9" stereos. 
• No other stereo brand is suitable.
