This complete Double DIN stereo upgrade fitting kit is designed specifically for VW Golf MK7 (2012–2016) models equipped with factory Composition Media or Discover Navigation Pro (MIB II) systems. It enables the installation of an aftermarket head unit while maintaining full integration with the vehicle’s original electronic systems. The included CAN-Bus Infoadapter ensures seamless communication between the new stereo and the vehicle, preserving factory functionality and dashboard integration.

Fascia Adaptor

This Double DIN stereo fascia adapter is designed specifically for VW Golf MK7 (2012–2016) models equipped with factory Composition Media or Discover Navigation Pro systems. It replaces the original dashboard trim panel to allow installation of an aftermarket Double DIN head unit while maintaining a clean, factory-style appearance. The fascia is precision-moulded to match the original dashboard contours for seamless integration.

Steering Control Adaptor

Car Audio Steering wheel interface allowing use of original buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. This interface allows the use of the Steering Wheel audio controls, as well retaining the vehicle menus when installing an aftermarket head unit.

This interface also provides optional input for reversing camera/ parking sensors (if applicable) and outputs for park brake, speed pulse, reverse gear and mute

Fakra DAB Male to DAB SMB Female Antenna Adapter

Use to convert the original (Fakra DAB) antenna connector in a car to a female SMB (used on aftermarket head-units)

Double Fakra to DIN Antenna Adapter Cable

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Double Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

The phantom power feed terminates in a junior timer receptacle terminal to make it easy to connect into the electric antenna turn on position of a standard ISO connector. We also have this part available with a male bullet connector to make the phantom power lead easier to connect to ISO cables and steering wheel control interfaces with a female bullet connection for the electric antenna turn on, the 21-139K.

Pioneer SPH-EVO98DAB

Thanks to its modular structure, the 9.0" SPH-EVO98DAB can be fitted to cars where this was previously impossible. 9.0" Capacitive touchscreen modular multimedia player with easy smartphone connectivity supporting Apple CarPlay® wireless, Android Auto™ wireless, DAB/DAB+ Digital Radio, Bluetooth®, Pioneer PxLink Companion App and a 13-band GEQ.

With the ‘floating’ or ‘tablet’ style installation the SPH-EVO950DAB modular receiver can be installed into many vehicle types, for example, traditional 1-DIN, 2-DIN, Campervan specific, or even vehicles where a traditional stereo does not fit thanks to its unique universal floating installation or in-dash installation capabilities. 

Pioneer introduces two new unique capabilities on the SPH-EVO98DAB.

1. Pioneer Split Screen Mode, to display and control specific functions on an adjacent partition of the screen by dynamically resizing the Apple CarPlay user interface.
2. Selectable Viewing Mode, giving you enhanced visibility by allowing you to switch the mode of the screen between Light Mode and Dark Mode, to suit your preference.
