This Volkswagen Transporter T6 9-inch Perfect Fit stereo fitting kit allows selected 9-inch aftermarket stereos to be installed into compatible VW T6 2015-2019 models with factory steering wheel audio controls.

The kit is designed for vehicles where only steering wheel audio control retention is required. It provides the main fitting parts needed to replace the original factory radio with a compatible 9-inch Perfect Fit stereo while retaining key steering wheel control functions. It includes a 9-inch fascia adapter, CAN steering wheel control interface, patch lead and double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with phantom power.

This fitting kit is compatible with selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos including the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, Alpine INE-AX809 and Kenwood DMX80AXS. These 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos are usually much shallower than conventional 2-DIN stereos, meaning less work is usually required behind the dashboard. This can help reduce installation time and is useful for both professional fitters and retail customers carrying out a stereo upgrade.

The 9-inch fascia adapter is built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list and adapts the dashboard aperture after the factory stereo has been removed. It accepts a universally mounted 4-screw 9-inch head unit and helps retain the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.

The supplied CAN steering wheel control interface allows the original steering wheel buttons to operate a compatible aftermarket stereo. Supported functions may include volume, track skip, source, mute and phone buttons, depending on the vehicle specification and stereo being installed.

The CANbus interface also provides useful output signals for the aftermarket stereo, including ignition feed 12V, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs. The included aerial adapter converts the original double Fakra aerial connection to a standard DIN connection and includes phantom power for the original antenna amplifier.

Fascia Adaptor

Designed specifically for selected Volkswagen Transporter T6 2015-2019 models, this fascia adapter allows compatible 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos to be installed neatly into the original dashboard location.

Steering Control Interface with Phone Buttons

The CANbus interface and radio adapter cable, it is used to connect an aftermarket stereo upgrade and retain the use of the volume, track skip, source, mute and phone buttons from the steering wheel with the new radio. The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs signals to the new stereo. 

Double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter (Phantom Power) with Bullet connector

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable with 12v phantom power from a male bullet connection. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original Double Fakra connector in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade.

Universal patch lead for steering control interface

Connects the stereo head unit to the steering wheel control adapter.

Important Fascia: 

• This fascia is designed to fit only Kenwood and Pioneer Perfect Fit 9" stereos. 
• No other stereo brand is suitable.
