Barn Doors vs Tailgate

These vehicles can use different high-level brake-light housings depending on their rear-door configuration.

CVC-REN-05 is the barn-door version for vehicles fitted with two separate rear doors.

Vehicles fitted with a single lifting tailgate require the dedicated CVC-REN-06 version.

Camera Fitment & Installation

The camera is designed to fit neatly into the vehicle's third high-level brake-light position.

The supplied 10-metre extension cable allows the video connection to be routed from the rear of the vehicle to the dashboard, stereo or monitor location.

Its vehicle-specific design creates a cleaner installation than many universal external reversing cameras.

Video Format Compatibility

The revised camera specification supports CVBS / AHD and NTSC / PAL configurations.

The stereo, monitor or camera interface must support the video format being used by the camera.

AHD supports higher-resolution video when used with an AHD-compatible display. CVBS is a conventional analogue video format supported by many aftermarket reversing-camera inputs.
