Transform your BMW’s audio experience with the Phoenix Gold ZDC-BMW2 harness, specifically designed for BMW vehicles equipped with the Basic Sound System and with an ASD module. This innovative harness addresses a common issue found in these systems: the front door speakers and under-seat woofers are connected together, compromising sound quality and performance.

In the stock configuration, the small 4” door speakers are forced to handle lower bass frequencies, leading to distortion. Simultaneously, the under-seat woofers are required to reproduce midrange and treble frequencies they were not designed to handle, further degrading the audio clarity. The result? A muddled and distorted sound profile that falls far short of your vehicle’s potential.

The ZDC-BMW2 harness resolves this by separating the signal paths of the front door speakers, under-seat woofers, and rear speakers, enabling a fully active configuration. When paired with a Phoenix Gold ZDA6.8* DSP amplifier, this advanced setup allows precise tuning of frequency filters across the entire audio system. Each speaker can be finely calibrated to deliver optimal performance, dramatically reducing distortion, enhancing overall sound clarity, and unlocking the full potential of your vehicle’s sound system. The result is an immersive, balanced, and professional-grade audio experience like never before.

Installation

• Disconnect the OEM harness from your ASD module (located in the boot).
• Connect the ZDC-BMW2 cable to the OEM plug, then plug the other end into your ASD module.
• Connect the black ground wire from the harness to the vehicle’s negative battery terminal (-).
• Connect the yellow power wire from the harness to the vehicle’s positive battery terminal (+).
• Route the underseat woofer cables:
• Route the 4-pin connector with blue wires from the boot to the left front seat.
• Route the 4-pin connector with red wires from the boot to the right front seat
• Disconnect the factory connectors from the underseat woofers beneath each front seat.
• Insert the loop connectors from the ZDC harness into the now-disconnected factory connectors.
• Connect the 4-Pin connectors to the underseat woofers (blue for left, red for right).
• Connect all ZDC-BMW2 connectors in the boot to the ZDA6.8* DSP amplifier.

With this quick and easy process, your physical installation is complete, allowing you to enjoy enhanced sound quality and performance.
