Upgrade your Mercedes-Benz Audio 10 infotainment system with a modern 9-inch touchscreen multimedia receiver whilst retaining factory steering wheel controls and maintaining an OEM-style dashboard appearance. Designed for select Mercedes vehicles equipped with the original Audio 10 radio and ISO connections, this fitting kit provides the essential components required for a professional stereo upgrade.

Originally developed for the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, this fitting kit is also compatible with selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos using the same mounting platform, including the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, Alpine INE-AX809 and Kenwood DMX80AXS.

The supplied Mercedes Audio 10 steering wheel control interface allows compatible aftermarket stereos to retain the original steering wheel audio controls whilst also providing important CAN-Bus outputs including ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse signals. An ISO to DIN aerial adapter maintains radio reception, whilst the custom 9-inch fascia panel delivers a clean factory-style dashboard finish.

Fascia Adapter Panel

The kit includes a bespoke 2-part 9” fascia panel that adapts the factory aperture to a universal 4-screw mount, ensuring a seamless OEM-style finish in your dashboard. The fascia must be installed in sequence: first, the back plate fixes securely to the dashboard. Next, mount the Pioneer unit to the front plate via the 4-screw fixing points. Only once the radio is powered and confirmed working should the front plate be clipped onto the back plate, locking the fascia into place.

Steering wheel control interface 

Steering wheel control interface and radio replacement adapter cable for various Mercedes cars with original Audio 10 radio. The CANbus interface and radio adapter cable is plug and play, it is used to connect an aftermarket stereo upgrade and retain the use of the volume, track skip and phone buttons from the steering wheel with the new radio. The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, handbrake, reverse gear and speed pulse output signals to the new stereo.

ISO to DIN antenna adapter cable

Male ISO to Male DIN antenna adapter. This part adapts from an ISO antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.

Fitting Instructions – 2-Part Fascia Panel

This kit includes a bespoke 2-part fascia adapter designed for a secure and professional installation. Please follow the sequence below:

1. Install the back plate first – fix the back plate of the fascia securely to the dashboard after removing the factory stereo.
2. Mount the Pioneer stereo – attach the 9” Pioneer SPH-PF97BT to the front fascia plate using the 4 screw fixing points.
3. Test the stereo – power on the new stereo to confirm that it is working correctly before final assembly.
4. Attach the fascia front plate – once the stereo is tested and the back plate is fixed to the dashboard, clip the front fascia plate onto the back plate to complete the installation.

This sequence ensures a solid fit and a seamless OEM-style dashboard finish.

Important Fascia: 

• This fascia is designed to fit only Kenwood and Pioneer Perfect Fit 9" stereos. 
• No other stereo brand is suitable.
