Complete stereo upgrade kit to install a single or double DIN aftermarket radio and retain the use of the steering wheel controls in a 2017 onward Subaru BRZ.

The fitting kit includes a gloss black car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket single or double DIN car radio upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation. A pocket is supplied, use the pocket when installing a single din radio, or ignore the pocket when installing a double din radio.

Fascia Adaptor

This adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.

Steering Control Adaptor

A stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit. 

A steering wheel control interface and radio replacement adapter cable is also included. The cable adapts from the original Subaru connectors in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The steering control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. This interface will work the volume, track skip, source and telephone buttons.

Aerial Adaptor

An Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.  

An antenna adapter is included in the kit. This adapts from the original style antenna connectors in the car to a standard aftermarket connector for the new stereo, known as a DIN connector.

Universal Patch Lead

A universal patch lead is supplied in the kit, this is to pair the steering control interface to the steering control input of Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and Chinese head units.

Important Fascia Notes: 

• The fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, JVC etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units. 
• China units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit.
• We do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size.

Car Audio Fitting Accessories are sold with limited instructions. Some knowledge of car audio installation is helpful, as in some rare case "modification" is necessary.
