Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Single DIN aftermarket radio and retain the use of the steering wheel controls in select VW Crafter (2017-2023) vehicle models.

As well as steering wheel control retention, the interface in this kit will also retain phone button functionality (if equipped) and also provide outputs for Park Brake, Speed Pulse, Reverse Gear and Mute.

Installation Depth

Due to the lower section behind the radio having ducts for the air vents on the Volkswagen Crafter (2017-2023)  there is only space for a Single DIN radio chassis or a slim chassis/ modular head unit (maximum mounting depth for the aftermarket radio of 55mm). These units must have the single DIN body relocated to the top of the dashboard because in the crafter the single DIN hole is at the top, the lower part is only 55mm deep and is not a DIN depth so would not allow you to mount a traditional Double DIN radio.

Examples of compatible head units with this fascia include:

• Any Single DIN stereo as long as it is mounted in the top of the fascia
• Pioneer AVH-Z7200DAB
• Pioneer SPH-EVO107DAB
• Pioneer SPH-EVO98DAB-1D

Careful attention needs to be paid to the radio that is to be fitted and modifications may be required, either to the fascia kit or the vehicle.

Fascia Adaptor

Replacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a Single DIN aftermarket version This fascia adapter allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the cars dashboard by matching the shape, style, size and colour of the original OEM factory fitted radio.

This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel.

Steering Wheel Control Interface

Car Audio Steering wheel interface allowing use of original buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. This interface allows the use of the Steering Wheel audio controls, as well retaining the vehicle menus when installing an aftermarket head unit.

This interface also provides optional input for reversing camera/ parking sensors (if applicable) and outputs for park brake, speed pulse, reverse gear and mute

Double Fakra to DIN Antenna Adapter Cable

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Double Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

The phantom power feed terminates in a junior timer receptacle terminal to make it easy to connect into the electric antenna turn on position of a standard ISO connector. We also have this part available with a male bullet connector to make the phantom power lead easier to connect to ISO cables and steering wheel control interfaces with a female bullet connection for the electric antenna turn on, the 21-139K.

Use to convert the original (Fakra DAB) antenna connector in a car to a female SMB (used on aftermarket head-units)

Universal Patch Lead

Universal patch lead for 29-CT series steering controls. Suitable for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and Chinese head-units that are steering wheel remote ready.

This cable plugs into the Steering wheel control box and into either the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the head-units. Follow instruction to cut loops if needed.

Important Fascia: 

• The fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units. 
• China units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit.
• We do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size.
