Ford Transit Custom Trend, Limited & Sport 2016-2018 9 Inch Stereo Kit
Install a compatible 9 inch Perfect Fit stereo while retaining the basic factory steering wheel audio controls. Includes the Ford OEM passenger airbag light assembly required for this dashboard configuration.
This complete 9 inch stereo upgrade fitting kit is designed for selected Ford Transit Custom Euro 6 Trend, Limited and Sport models manufactured between 2016 and 2018. It is intended for vehicles with a display above the radio and a passenger airbag status light built into the factory radio.
The kit includes a vehicle-specific 9 inch fascia, 29-CTF018 CAN-Bus steering wheel control interface, universal patch lead, AM/FM aerial adapter and Ford OEM passenger airbag light assembly.
The interface retains the vehicle's basic steering wheel audio controls with a compatible aftermarket stereo. It can also provide ignition, illumination, reverse and speed-pulse outputs, depending on the vehicle specification and head-unit requirements.

The passenger airbag light cannot remain below the radio due to the 9 inch display. The supplied light assembly must remain connected and be secured behind the new stereo before vehicle power is restored. Airbag status remains visible on the instrument cluster.
Factory feature limitations: On Transit Custom vehicles, the 29-CTF018 interface retains basic steering wheel controls only. It does not support the original time/date display or trip computer. Factory AUX and USB retention is also not supported on Transit Custom vans.

The 29-CTF018 interface retains supported basic steering wheel audio controls. The new stereo must have a compatible wired remote-control input, and available functions depend on the vehicle and stereo.
AM/FM Aerial Adapter
The Fakra-to-DIN aerial adapter connects the original Ford aerial plug to the new stereo.
The included 21-106 is a passive Fakra-to-DIN aerial adapter. It does not provide phantom power and is unsuitable for aerial systems that require a powered antenna amplifier.
Passenger Airbag Light Connection
The included Ford OEM passenger airbag light assembly must be connected to the original vehicle plug and safely secured behind the new stereo before vehicle power is restored.
Universal Patch Lead
The universal patch lead connects the interface to compatible Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer and other supported stereos.
Original Display, AUX and USB Limitations
On Ford Transit Custom vehicles, this interface does not support the original time/date display or trip computer. Factory AUX and USB retention is also not supported.

Before refitting the dashboard, test the stereo, steering wheel controls and radio reception. Confirm that the passenger airbag light assembly is connected and safely secured before restoring vehicle power.
Important Fascia:
- This fascia is designed to fit only Kenwood and Pioneer Perfect Fit 9" stereos.
- No other stereo brand is suitable.
