A Cleaner Transit Custom Stereo Upgrade
Upgrade your selected Ford Transit Custom Base model with a modern 9 inch stereo while retaining supported factory steering wheel controls. This complete vehicle-specific fitting kit provides the fascia, interface and adapters required for a neat and integrated installation.
Install a compatible 9 inch Perfect Fit aftermarket stereo in selected Ford Transit Custom Base models while retaining the original steering wheel audio controls.
This complete 9 inch stereo fitting kit is designed for selected Ford Transit Custom Base models manufactured between 2013 and 2018. It is suitable for vehicles without a separate display above the factory radio.
The kit contains the vehicle-specific fascia, steering wheel control interface, universal patch lead and AM/FM aerial adapter required to install a compatible 9 inch aftermarket head unit.
The supplied interface connects the new stereo to the vehicle and retains supported original steering wheel audio functions, giving the installation a cleaner and more integrated finish.

The 29-722 interface retains supported volume, track selection and source buttons. The aftermarket stereo must have a compatible wired steering wheel remote-control input.
Available functions depend on the original vehicle controls and the features supported by the new head unit
AM/FM Aerial Adapter
The male Fakra-to-male DIN aerial adapter converts the original Ford aerial connection for the new stereo.
The included 21-106 is a passive male Fakra-to-male DIN aerial adapter. It connects the vehicle's original aerial plug to a standard aftermarket DIN aerial socket.
The adapter does not provide phantom power and is unsuitable for an aerial system requiring a powered antenna amplifier.
Universal Patch Lead
The universal patch lead connects the interface to compatible Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer and other supported head units.
The included 29-025 patch lead connects the steering wheel control interface to the remote-control input on a compatible aftermarket stereo. It can be configured for several supported stereo brands.
The patch lead works with a compatible InCarTec 29-series interface and does not operate as a standalone adapter.

This kit is designed for selected Ford Transit Custom Base 2013-2018 models without a separate display above the factory radio.
