This complete 9 inch stereo upgrade fitting kit is designed for selected Ford Ranger XL models manufactured between 2016 and 2022. It contains the vehicle-specific fascia, steering wheel control interface and connection adapters required to install a compatible 9 inch aftermarket head unit.
The supplied fascia adapter allows the new stereo to sit neatly within the Ranger dashboard, providing a cleaner and more integrated installation than a universal fitting solution.
The kit also retains the vehicle's original steering wheel audio controls and factory AUX and USB ports when used with a compatible aftermarket stereo.

Fascia Adapter Panel
Replaces the original radio surround and allows a compatible 9 inch head unit to fit neatly into the Ford Ranger dashboard.
Steering wheel control interface
Connects the aftermarket stereo to the vehicle and retains the original steering wheel audio controls together with the factory AUX and USB ports.
The aftermarket stereo must have a compatible wired steering wheel remote-control input. The supplied universal patch lead can be configured for supported stereo brands.
Available button functions depend on the original vehicle controls and the functions supported by the new head unit.
AUX and USB Retention
The supplied interface retains the vehicle's original AUX and USB connections when used with a compatible aftermarket stereo.
The functions available through the original ports depend on the connection types and features supported by the new head unit.
Antenna adapter
The male Fakra-to-male DIN aerial adapter converts the original Ford aerial connection for a compatible aftermarket stereo.
The included 21-106 cable is a passive Fakra-to-DIN aerial adapter. It connects the vehicle's original aerial plug to a standard aftermarket DIN aerial socket.
This adapter does not supply phantom power and is unsuitable for an aerial system that requires a powered antenna amplifier.
Universal Patch Lead
The universal patch lead connects the steering wheel control interface to a compatible aftermarket head unit.
This kit is compatible with selected 9 inch Perfect Fit stereos, including:
- Pioneer SPH-PF97BT
- Alpine INE-AX809
- Kenwood DMX80AXS
Other 9 inch stereos may also be suitable. The head unit must have the correct fitting dimensions, connections and wired steering wheel remote-control compatibility. Check compatibility before installation.
