Upgrade the Stereo Without Losing the Original Controls
Replacing the factory Ford radio with an aftermarket head unit can prevent the original steering wheel buttons and dashboard display controls from operating correctly. This interface converts the vehicle’s original control signals into a format that a compatible aftermarket stereo can understand.
Once installed with the correct radio-specific patch lead, it allows the supported audio buttons on the steering wheel to operate the new head unit. It also allows access to compatible factory functions shown on the original small red/orange display.
The interface is specifically intended for selected Ford Fiesta 2008-2011 vehicles with the M button on the steering wheel, the smaller red/orange display and the correct original radio connections.

Required for Accessing the Display Menus Keep the original Ford hazard switch after removing the factory radio. To access the vehicle’s display menu functions following installation, remove or disconnect the aftermarket hazard switch where applicable and reconnect the original Ford hazard switch. Store the original switch safely so it remains available whenever vehicle settings need to be adjusted.

Why Is a Patch Lead Required?
Different aftermarket stereo manufacturers use different steering-wheel-remote connections. The patch lead adapts the interface output to the input used by the selected radio. Choose the lead according to the stereo brand and model.
Will the Factory Display Continue to Work?
The interface allows access to compatible factory functions on the small red/orange display. The original hazard switch must be kept and reconnected when access to the display menus is required.
Is This Suitable for a Fiesta with an OK Button?
This version is specifically intended for vehicles with an M button on the steering wheel. Fiesta models with an OK button use a different control system and require a different interface.

- China Branded Headunit, please make sure your unit has 3 wires for connecting the patch lead to the car stereo that you are installing.
- Please make sure that is the correct Steering Control Adaptor for your vehicles by firstly checking to see if your make, model and year of car is listed in the advert. Secondly by checking to see if the connection in the picture is the same as you have in your vehicle. If the connection in the car is different from what you see in the picture then this adaptor is NOT suitable.
