The CT51-UV01 is a universal ISO extension harness with a built-in rocker switch. This ISO harness is ideal when installing an aftermarket radio into vehicles which feature a 12V permanent feed within the radio harness. The CT51-UV01 allows you to manually switch on the radio without having the vehicle's ignition on. A perfect accessory for camper vans and motor homes, this harness allows you to listen to the radio when parked without having to have the ignition on or the engine running.

Running the radio without the engine to charge the battery by the alternator or running or an external battery charger will discharge the battery. The switch housing needs a 20mm hole to fit and a minimum mounting depth of 38mm.

When connected your new stereo may not power up, and this is no fault of the wiring harness purchased.
Audi / VW / Skoda / Fiat and other vehicles tend not to have an ignition switched live feed.
In these cases it is necessary to manually connect a spurred live feed from fuse box for example to feed switched power so the new stereo turns on and off with the key.
The wire in particular on the new wiring harness will be the red wire.
