Originally developed for the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, this fitting kit is also compatible with selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos that utilise the same mounting platform, including the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, Alpine INE-AX809 and Kenwood DMX80AXS.

The supplied steering wheel control interface allows compatible aftermarket stereos to retain original steering wheel audio controls whilst maintaining important vehicle integration functions. The included wiring harness provides straightforward connection to the factory audio system, while the aerial adapter maintains reliable radio reception. The vehicle-specific fascia panel creates a seamless factory-style finish around compatible 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos.

This upgrade solution allows BMW E46 owners to replace ageing factory audio equipment with modern touchscreen technology whilst preserving the original look and feel of the dashboard.

PF-116-SWC Vehicle Compatibility

Suitable for BMW 3 Series (E46) from 1999 to 2006 without navigation and standard audio. Vehicles equipped with factory Harman Kardon sound systems or OEM navigation systems will require a different fitting solution.
On standard non-navigation models, installation requires the heater controls to be relocated below the factory radio position, which is a common modification when upgrading the E46 dashboard layout.

9" Fascia Adaptor

Designed specifically for BMW 3 Series (E46) from 1999 to 2006 without navigation and standard audio, this fascia is designed for installation of the Pioneer 9” stereo. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard. 

Steering Wheel Control Interface

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for various BMW cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the 17 Round Pin connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio.

Antenna adapter cable

Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.

Universal Patch Lead

This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

Important Fascia: 

• This fascia is designed to fit only Kenwood and Pioneer Perfect Fit 9" stereos. 
• No other stereo brand is suitable.
