Technical Note

Due to the size of the 9” Pioneer display, the passenger airbag light cannot be retained below the factory radio. This is not an issue, as airbag status is displayed on the instrument cluster/dashboard, However the airbag light must remain connected.

To do this first ensure the car’s power is switched off, carefully remove the airbag light from the factory radio, reconnect it to the original connector in the car, and safely position it behind the new radio within the dashboard. Please ensure the light is reconnected before turning the car back on.

Fascia Adapter Panel

Designed specifically for the Audi TT (2006-2014), this fascia is designed for installation of the Pioneer 9” stereo. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.

Some modification behind the dashboard may be required

Some models have a plastic cage frame behind the factory radio. This will need cutting alone the red line in order for the new 9 inch stereo to fit flush in the new fascia adapter. We recommend this is carried out by a professional car audio installer.

Steering Wheel Control Interface

Car audio and steering wheel control interface for Audi cars that have quadlock connectors behind the radio and have fully amplified BOSE audio systems.

The CANbus interface will generate an ignition power supply to the new radio, via the red wire. it will also give out an illumination signal, (orange) speed pulse signal (pink), reverse gear positive output (Purple), Handbrake negative (Green) and Mute out (Yellow/Black)

The interface also switches on the original digital amplifier on RNS-E systems.

Double Fakra to DIN Aerial Adapter (Phantom Power) with Bullet Connector

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable with 12v phantom power from a male bullet connection. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original Double Fakra connector in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade.

Pioneer Patch Lead for Steering Control Interface

Connects the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT to the steering wheel control adapter.
