CANbus steering wheel control interface for Mercedes vehicles with factory fitted Audio 5/Sound 5 systems.
This interface uses ISO connections behind the original radio to allow the use of the original steering wheel control buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. It also provides CANbus outputs as well as Ignition, speed pulse, reverse, handbrake and illumination signals.
The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.
The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation
This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume and track skip buttons.
The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse outputs.
This is an alternative to 39-MB-A05
Cars with original harman/kardon or BOSE amplified audio systems will require an additional interface to retain the audio with the original amplifier.
This interface is only suitable for Mercedes vehicles with factory fitted Audio 5/Sound 5 systems also (Volkswagen Crafter RCD2001)

IMPORTANT NOTE
- China Branded Headunit, please make sure your unit has 3 wires for connecting the patch lead to the car stereo that you are installing.
- Please make sure that is the correct Steering Control Adaptor for your vehicles by firstly checking to see if your make, model and year of car is listed in the advert. Secondly by checking to see if the connection in the picture is the same as you have in your vehicle. If the connection in the car is different from what you see in the picture then this adaptor is NOT suitable.
