"description": "The CT51-UV01 is a universal ISO extension harness with a built-in rocker switch. This ISO harness is ideal when installing an aftermarket radio into vehicles which feature a 12V permanent feed within the radio harness. The CT51-UV01 allows you to manually switch on the radio without having the vehicle's ignition on. A perfect accessory for camper vans and motor homes, this harness allows you to listen to the radio when parked without having to have the ignition on or the engine running.\nRunning the radio without the engine to charge the battery by the alternator or running or an external battery charger will discharge the battery. The switch housing needs a 20mm hole to fit and a minimum mounting depth of 38mm.\nWhen connected your new stereo may not power up, and this is no fault of the wiring harness purchased.\nAudi / VW / Skoda / Fiat and other vehicles tend not to have an ignition switched live feed.\nIn these cases it is necessary to manually connect a spurred live feed from fuse box for example to feed switched power so the new stereo turns on and off with the key.\nThe wire in particular on the new wiring harness will be the red wire.\nCar Audio Fitting Accessories are sold with limited instructions. Some knowledge of car audio installation is helpful, as in some rare case \"modification\" is necessary.\nPlease make sure that is the correct Active System Adaptor for your vehicle by firstly checking to see if your vehicle make, model and year is listed in the description. Secondly by checking to see if the connection & Shape in the picture listed is the same as you have in your vehicle. If in doubt please email us with your vehicle details and we will confirm what you require.",
