"description": "Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket radio in various Volkswagen cars with new (2015 onwards) style quadlock connection.\nThis is to replace original Composition or Discover radios.\nThis is for a new style (2015 onwards) Quadlock connector used on select VW vehicles. This can be identified by the 2 larger pins in the corner of the connector\nPackage Includes\nDouble Din Flush Fit Fascia Adaptor With Side Fixing Brackets\nRadio Replacement Steering Wheel Adaptor Interface\nDouble Fakra Antenna Adaptor\nUniversal patch lead (Included)\nFascia Adaptor\nThis adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.\nThis fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation.\nSteering Control Adaptor\nA stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit.\nThe CANBus interface and radio adapter cable, it is used to connect an aftermarket stereo upgrade and retain the use of the volume, track skip, source, mute and phone buttons from the steering wheel with the new radio. The CANBus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs signals to the new stereo.\nAerial Adaptor\nAn Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.\nDouble moulded Fakra Aerial adapter cable for European cars that have amplified original antennas. Use with cars that have twin antenna both requiring power.\nUniversal Patch Lead\nUniversal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 49 series steering wheel control interfaces. Use for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.\nFOR UNBRANDED/ CHINESE HEAD UNITS YOU WILL REQUIRE A DEDICATED 49-000 PATCH LEAD\nThis fitting kit is compatible with Volkswagen original head units fitted with the newer quadlock and a double Fakra connection, Please see pictures below.\nVW Composition Media (also fits Composition Audio and Composition Colour)\nVW Discover Media\nThat some vehicles have original DAB. This is not retained with this kit and will require 21-037 Fakra to SMB adapter.\nThis kit also does not retain original reverse cameras or USB and AUX ports.
