"description": "Complete fitting kit to install a Double DIN head unit and retain the original steering wheel controls in a BMW 1-Series (facelift model) with original automatic climate controls.\nThis kit is designed for facelift models, earlier pre facelift models do not have space for a Double DIN unit.\nPackage Includes\nDouble Din Fascia (Matt Black)\nSteering wheel control interface\nAntenna Adaptor\nUniversal patch lead (Included)\n{ vehicle_compatibility }\nBelow is an image with examples of the pre and post facelift dashboards.\nFascia Adaptor\nThis adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.\nReplacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a Double din aftermarket version. The kit includes a switch relocating panel for cars with switch panel underneath the climate controls. There is a blank plate for cars that do not have the switch panel.\nSteering Control Adaptor\nA stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit.\nSteering wheel control interface and adapter cable for various BMW and Mini cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source and phone buttons. The CANbus interface will also provide CANbus key present ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs. A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.\nSome BMW cars go into Eco mode and the +12V supply to the radio drops causing the memory of the new radio to be lost, these cars will need a power supply directly from the battery to be supplied.\nAerial Adaptor\nAn Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.\nMale Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.\nUniversal Patch Lead\nA universal patch lead is supplied in the kit, this is to pair the steering control interface to the steering control input of Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.\nFOR UNBRANDED/ CHINESE HEAD UNITS YOU WILL REQUIRE A DEDICATED 49-000 PATCH LEAD\nModification behind the radio is required to allow space to fit a double din stereo (3 HOURS MINIMUM NEEDED) We recommend this is done by an experienced car audio technician only.\n{ note_fittingkit_fascia_with_cage }\n{ note_fittingkit_footer }",
