"description": "Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Single or Double DIN aftermarket radio and retain the use of the steering wheel controls in Mercedes SLK R171 (2009-2011) car models with original NTG2/COMAND APS NTG2 radios and non amplified audio systems.\nPackage Includes\nSingle and Double Din Fascia Adaptor Panel (Flush Mount Matt Black)\n103mm Double Din Fitting Cage Kit\nSteering Control Interface\nAntenna Adaptor Cable\nUniversal patch lead (Included)\nFascia Adaptor\nThis adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.\nUse the supplied pocket with the fascia adapter to fit a single din radio, or remove the pocket and use the fascia trim only with the supplied 103mm fitting cage to fit a double din aftermarket head unit. Most aftermarket radios are supplied with a 113mm high cage, because of this an additional 103mm fitting cage is also supplied in this fitting kit.\nThe fascia is a flush mount fascia, it gives a very tidy and professional finish.\nSteering Control Adaptor\nA stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit.\nThe cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable, This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume and track skip buttons.\nThe CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse outputs.\nThis interface is supplied with a universal patch lead. This links the steering control interface to the steering wheel control input on the back of the new stereo.\nAerial Adaptor\nAn Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.\nA Fakra to DIN antenna adapter is in the kit. This cable adapts from a Fakra antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade.\nThis kit is for 2009 to 2011 facelift Mercedes SLK R171 cars with basic Mercedes NTG2 or navigation COMAND APS NTG2 original radios and non amplified audio systems.\nBelow is an image of a radio fitted using this kit.\nImportant Fascia Notes\nThe fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, JVC etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units.\nChina units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit.\nWe do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size.\nCar Audio Fitting Accessories are sold with limited instructions.
