Designed specifically for models with with BOSE amplified sound, this kit allows you to install a modern Single or Double DIN aftermarket head unit without losing BOSE amplifier functionality, retaining the original fibre-optic signal path. Plus, steering wheel audio controls (volume, track skip, source, mute, telephone) are preserved via the included SWC interface and patch lead.\nPackage Includes\nSilver flush mount fascia fitting kit\nAntenna adapter cable\nSteering wheel control interface\nBose fibre optic retention interface\nUniversal Patch Lead (Included)\n{ vehicle_compatibility }\nFascia Adaptor\nThis adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.\nThis fitting kit includes a silver car radio fascia adapter panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket single or double DIN car radio upgrade. The fascia adapter allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation. Use the supplied pocket for a single DIN installation or remove the pocket for a double DIN installation.\nSteering Control Adaptor\nA stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit.\nA steering wheel control interface and radio fitting adapter cable is in the kit. The cable adapts from the Porsche ISO connectors in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source, mute and telephone buttons. Note; the operation of these buttons can be dependent on the vehicle spec and radio compatibility.\nThe CANbus interface will also provide key present ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse outputs. A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.\nBose Fibre Optic Retention Interface\nA MOST fibre optic interface is included, it is designed to retain the use of the original Bose fibre optic amplifier to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. The interface connects at the back of the radio, it takes the phono audio output from the new radio and converts it to a digital signal that works with the original Bose amplifier. Note, the front to rear fade feature will be lost.\nAerial Adaptor\nAn Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.\nThis kit includes a male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade.\nUniversal Patch Lead\nA universal patch lead is supplied in the kit, this is to pair the steering wheel control interface to the steering control input of Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony aftermarket radios.\nFOR UNBRANDED/ CHINESE HEAD UNITS YOU WILL REQUIRE A DEDICATED 49-000 PATCH LEAD\nImportant Fascia Notes\nThe fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, JVC etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units.\nChina units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit.\nWe do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size.\nCar Audio Fitting Accessories are sold with limited instructions.
