"description": "Complete fitting kit to install a double DIN head unit and retain the original steering wheel controls in a BMW X5 E53.This kit contains the extension lead needed to connect from the original unit in the rear or the car to the dashboard.\nPackage Includes\nDouble Din Fascia Adaptor\nSteering Wheel Control Interface\nAntenna Adaptor\nAntenna extension\nQuadlock extension\nUniversal patch lead (Included)\nThis kit is for vehicles with original navigation head units, it comes with extra mounting brackets to mount the fascia into the dashboard. Click here for instructions on how to do this.\nNot for vehicles with original DSP amplified audio systems.\nFascia Adaptor\nThis adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.\nwith extra brackets to help mount the fascia into the dashboard.\nSteering Control Adaptor\nA stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit.\nThe steering control interface in this kit is a CANbus interface which will also generate CAN ignition to the new head unit and provide speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake output signals.\nAerial Adaptor\nAn Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.\nImportant Fascia Notes\nThe fascias are made to suit industry standard sized stereos such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, JVC etc, NOT INCLUDING China units or unbranded units.\nChina units have a reputation to be over sized and may require modification to the fascia to allow it to fit.\nWe do not take any responsibility for China units not fitting as they are not industry standard size.\nCar Audio Fitting Accessories are sold with limited instructions. Some knowledge of car audio installation is helpful, as in some rare case \"modification\" is necessary.\nPlease make sure that is the correct Fitting Kit for your vehicle by firstly checking to see if your vehicle make, model and year is listed in the description. Secondly by checking to see if the connection & Shape in the picture listed is the same as you have in your vehicle. If in doubt please email us with your vehicle details and we will confirm what you require.",
